Marty Williams is an enormously talented and gifted piano player whose music touches the hearts and souls of his listeners.  Marty has been part of of the San Francisco jazz scene for over 20 years and has been a student of Bay Area jazz greats Bill Bell, Ed Kelly, Merrill Hoover and Art Fletcher.  His musical influences include Les McCann, Ahmad Jamal and Joe Sample.  Marty plays regularly with Eric Swinderman, Raul Rameriz and Ruth Davies in a band they call "In Pursuit of the Sound".  In addition to this CD, you can hear Marty with Eric, Raul and Ruth on their new CD, "In Pursuit of the Sound".  You can also hear Marty's creative and innovative collaborations with underground hip hop notable, DJ Drez on "The Capture of Sound", "Moon Bay Sessions" and "Jahta Beat"
